LIGHT FACADES
Light facades are defined, according to the European standard UNE-EN 13119 (on light facades), such as an external façade that is installed in buildings, usually made of aluminum, metal or wood.
They are made up of various vertical and / or horizontal structural elements, which are coupled together and anchored to the building structure. Thus, despite meeting all the usual characteristics of an exterior wall, they do not support any load.
This type of facade is usually installed in offices, shopping centers, airports or, ultimately, public buildings. However, it is increasingly common to see it on private properties and it is beginning to be used in the rehabilitation of existing buildings as well as in new construction.
At CODEVAL we manufacture and distribute the two basic types of light facades that we currently find on the market: curtain wall and ventilated façade:
- Curtain wall. This facade system is manufactured with aluminum profiles and in most cases we find it glazed.
- Ventilated facade. It is made up of an aluminum bearing structure that fixes a cladding material (composite panel, porcelain, etc ...) with an insulating layer (optional) to the supporting wall of the building, thus creating a non-watertight air chamber, which allows ventilation.
There are many professionals in the sector who trust us as their trusted suppliers for the construction of lightweight facades.
